Reiji Kurose, a high school sophomore, was “just” living his life, tied down by the town and his family. He lived with his mother, a nurse‘s assistant, his brother, a shut-in, and his grandmother who suffers from dementia, in a provincial town with nothing to offer. In order to make life easier for his mother, Reiji had hoped to find a job instead of going to college. Deep down, he wished to leave the town where he lived, but half-heartedly gave up on the idea. He spent his days vaguely, understanding that he was bound to the town.
Then, he suddenly meets a favorite idol who offers him to commit suicide with her.
A childhood friend who promises to leave town. A teacher who is obsessed with Reiji.
A mother who ties up her son. And a Yankee who used to be his best friend.
Is there any hope for the boy's life? Is there light ahead?
